An update; I'm off to Sweden to visit family and friends for the coming week and therefore you won't see me in here until i get back. While I'm gone over to the northern regions I will take as much summer stock as possible and upload them here when i get back So lots of more nature and landscape shots as well as possibly some more model stock (if time permits)
I have also uploaded some pics form the inside of Caerphilly castle ruin, hopefully you can come up with some fab things with those while I'm gone

Finally I can start uploading some new stock for you guys! To celebrate the move to Wales the first series gonna have to be from some local castles We start with Caerphilly castle that is just outside Cardiff, and later on I will upload more from the indside of this magnificant building. Next stage will be photos from the huge castle in the city centre of Cardiff. Hope you all can enjoy this first round despite this serie being taken with my older cam

Winners of the Holiday Challenge

I want to thank all of you who participated in this challenge for the incredibly beautiful entries you have entered. It has not been easy choosing between all of you and I wish I had the means to give you all prizes. I feel honoured recieveing such great and good quality works and all of you should feel like winners here today!!
But since there can only be three winners I have after an extremely hard couple of weeks of trying to decide who should win come to the following decisions:

Motivation: Created with such en eye for composition and beauty, depicting a wonderfully detailed winter scene transforming the required stock to a truly uniform image, this work is amazing and has a very high wow-factor. Adding all that extra stock from my stock sisters and the incredible skilled blendings has made this the absolute overall winner of this challenge. Congratulations Lauren!!
Motivation: The most striking and beautiful scene with colours that works so well together and that are just so eye catching. The whole piece depicts such a different theme, the warm stunning tiger in the wintery, cool forest and made me go wow the first time I saw it. Amazing blend of stocks and using stock from one of my stock sisters, this truly deserves to be among the winners. Congratulations Marilyn!
Motivation: The tranquillity and peacefulness in this scene is fantastic and so well portrayed. Wonderful use of stock from both stock sisters and from mandatory stock from myself and the details in this displays great work and effort put in. A magic entry well deserving of place on the winners steps. Congratulations Shaake!
I also have 2 honorary mentions I just have to share with you. Both of these will receive a special little extra surprise from myself for absolutely wonderful effort and work.
Firstly we have who not only entered NINE different entries, each one so very well done and with such detail and thought behind them, but also published a whole novel to go with the images. The amount of work put into these entries, being able to use mandatory stock in each one and the time and effort writing down the story for the images is incredible and inspiring.
Secondly we have the absolutely stunning work of that I truly believed should also be a winner, but when it came down to the final vote for the top 3 I had to go with what I had stated in the rules; that extra points goes to those who had used stock from my stock sisters. So this time it unfortunately didn’t make it up there.

STILL no internet and now we have found out it's going to take ANOTHER 2-3 weeks!!!!! GAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH I'm so sorry all of you fab people that are waiting for prizes and comments from me, you will get it as soon as I possibly can.

The challenge I have selected 9 stock photos from my gallery, the challenge is to use at least one of them (or several or all) in a photo manipulation or as reference for creating something themed "Winter". Anyhting that has to do with the winter season in any way is allowed. You have to include a small explanation of the winter themed work in the description underneath your work. As long as the explanation makes sense about why your picture is connected to winter (if it's not obvious in your image of course) it will be accepted as an entry. Use your imagination!
Judging I'll be judging the entries mainly on impact on viewer, meaning something you go "wow" when you see. I will also add extra positive points for entries that has followed all the rules without getting any remiders or corrections from me and for entries that also contains stock from any of my stock sisters; =steppelandstock, =inspyretash-stock and/or *LucieG-Stock
Any skill level is accepted so please join in no matter how much experience you have!!

Challenge running time starts at 22nd December 2008 and closes at 1 March 2009 at 12 pm GMT. Make sure to get your results in before then!
Your entry must be a new work not uploaded to dA before 22nd Dec 2008. You can make unlimited amount of entries. Your entry MUST contain at least one of the 9 stock photos above. If you include stock from any of my stock sisters =steppelandstock =inspyretash-stock or *LucieG-Stock in your entry that will add extra points. You can send me your submission through a note or a message posted on my front page, under the stock you've used or posted as a comment on this journal. Make sure to mention that your entry is a submission/entry for my holiday challenge. Your work MUST include a small text or explanation of your work, this is so me and others viewing your work gets an idea of your thoughts behind it. This can be very short, a sentence is enough, just something!! Remember to credit stockers at all times.
